With opening weekend of baseball going on, Bolton Valley Resort, just 30 minutes from Burlington, will head into Extra Innings next weekend, offering up two days of extra skiing and riding for the 2010-2011 season.  If you wear the logo of your favorite baseball team, skiers and riders  will pay just $25 for a lift ticket (regular lift tickets will be $29, all ages). The resort will close this Monday through Friday and then reopen for skiing and riding next Saturday and Sunday, April 9-10. The resort was originally scheduled to close for the season today.  Outstanding conditions and great weekend mean you can enjoy the mountain for a couple more days.

“It has been a remarkable season with historic snowfall, and the mountain continues to offer exceptional skiing and riding,” said Bolton Valley President George B. Potter. “So we’re going to keep it going a bit longer, extending our season for one bonus weekend to enjoy the deep snow pack. An amazing year deserves an amazing ending.”

The Vista Quad to the summit will run from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. both days. Timberline, Wilderness and all other lifts will be closed so terrain is for intermediate and advanced skiers and riders only. The Deli and the James Moore Tavern will be open, with specials in the Tavern. Half price deals on rental equipment and select retails items will be available as well. Season passes also will be honored.

The Sports Center, pool, Nordic Center, and cafeteria are closed for the season.
