Snow is still falling over the Sierra and will continue through mid morning as well as the Tetons for those backcountry lines (JHMR is closed for the season) where 12 inches has fallen in the past 24 hours. The Sierra will begin to clear out by Friday with high pressure returning. The Wasatch will begin to pick up moderate snow by 1pm today turning heavy this evening into Friday with areas further South being favored.  The low stalls over UT/AZ for the next 48 hours bringing periods of moderate snow to many areas through Saturday morning. The Cottonwood Canyons (Brighton, Solitude, Snowbird, Alta) will do well over a long duration (14-20 inches) however the best powder days will most likely be Friday and again perhaps Sunday.
