Olympic skier busted for steroids

The Estonian Ski Association is saying that 2002 and 2006 Olympic Gold Medalist and World Champion, Andrus Veerpalu has tested positive for HGH not once but twice in early February before the World Championships.  Although the ski star, Veerpalu has proclaimed his innocence, he retired from racing at the age of 40 suspiciously right afterwards.  Granted 40 is long in the tooth, but if you didn’t do the drugs – then you fight and appeal as opposed to retire.

Obviously we are only reading reports and can’t actually prove guilt on this one, but it is getting digusting the amount of steroid use in professional, collegiate and amateur sports.  Go shush freakin POW!  The reward of winning is pretty hollow if you cheated to get there.

Enough soapbox, but come on athletes!  You are going to take the money out of your sports because people are going to stop caring!
