Carrabassett Valley Academy senior James Campbell has had a banner season. In December, James qualified for the Dew Tour, the most competitive professional freeskiing platform in the country. James earned a spot among the top thirty halfpipe skiers in the country at the Dew Tour’s last stop in Utah. James is one of a handful of high school aged athletes whom have ever reached this level.

Along with his accomplishments at Dew Tour, James has been taking first almost every halfpipe competition he has entered this year. He is both the Rev Tour, and Nor Am national champ and came in first at the Eastern Championships.

With several sponsors on his side and college-bound in the fall, the doors are wide open for this talented student/athlete. “I’ve really improved this year” said Campbell, “I have added a lot of advanced tricks to my arsenal that I’ll need to compete at the same high level next year.” James has a tremendous start to a professional skiing career, and we look forward to see what he does next.
