52 feet of snow and counting at Mammoth Mountain

2 more days of snow storms at Mammoth Mountain and their season total is climbing again.  Another 7”-12” of snow fell overnight making 624 inches of snowfall this season! That’s 52 FEET of snow! The conditions are incredible, the sky is as blue as can be and there’s enough powder to go around! In the last 72 hours they have received 18”-32” of snow.

Enjoy light winds and temperatures in the mid-high 20s on 150 trails. 94 runs are groomed and in mint condition and this weekend promises nothing but fun. It’s the Mammoth Invitational weekend. Join Olympians, celebrities, ski and snowboard lovers like yourself for a key weekend on Mammoth Mountain, all in the name of a great cause.  The Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation is an amazing program designed to raise money for young athletes and scholars in the Eastern Sierra.  Their mission is to provide facilities, services, programs and equipment to help facilitate educational and competitive excellence.  Come to Mammoth Mountain and participate in Alpine racing, Snowboarding, Freeskiing, evening functions, auctions, Family Fun Cup, meals and much more Friday through Sunday April 8 – 10.

Hit the sundecks for during and apres ski or get your trick on at any of Mammoth’s nine open terrain parks.

Mammoth’s snow base depth is 14ft to 24ft so no worries about puting holes in your p-tex.  With powder, packed powder and machine groomed conditions it doesn’t get any better than this.  All lifts are operating today except for Chair 20.
