The Telluride Blues and Brew Festival team proudly announced the addition of Bill Kight as Director of Marketing and Public Relations this week. Bill brings over 8 years of advertising, sales, event management and production, marketing and PR experience to the iconic festival’s table.
Every September, the bands, the fans, and the barrels of beer roll into Telluride Town Park for the annual Telluride Blues & Brews Festival. A three-day celebration of live blues and microbrews, the festival hosts over 20 national touring bands, over 50 microbreweries from around the west, and a crowd of almost 10,000 from across the country.
When B.B. King performed there in 2004, he sat on the stage, looked out at the mountains before him, and told the crowd, “Out of the 90 different countries I’ve been to, I’ve never seen anything more beautiful than what you have here.
“The addition of Bill to our team comes at a great time for the festival,” said Steve Gumble, founder of Blues and Brews. “We are really looking forward to working with Bill, and improving the festivals image and exposure through his marketing and public relations knowledge and capabilities.”
Kight also brings successful track record of client interaction and sponsorships to Blues & Blues, and is well versed in many disciplines from brand development, E-marketing, and social media management.

Bill gained a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Environmental Science from The University of Arizona, has resided in Maryland, Tucson, and Colorado.
He currently lives in Telluride, CO.
