AFP World Championships coming to Whistler Blackcomb

The Telus World Ski & Snowboard Festival in Whistler, host of the always exciting World Skiing Invitational. However this year there’s an added twist to the already stellar event, as the Association of Freeskiing Professionals (AFP) has decided to make this year’s installment of WSI its inaugural World Championships. All three disciplines (slopestyle, superpipe and big air), will be Platinum level AFP events, and the 2011 AFP Champions will be crowned right there in Whistler once it’s all said and done.
