PointZero1 has set up camp with US Ski Team camp directors for speed training at Mammoth Mountain until mid-May. PointZero1 was founded by Phil McNichol, considered the most successful Head Coach of the Men’s US Alpine Team, and former World Cup racers, Erik Schlopy and Bryon Friedman. Besides McNichol, Schlopy, and Friedman, National Champion and World Cup Skier Jake Zamansky joins the gentlemen as a camp director this year.
The skiing at Mammoth is still in prime condition with lots of pow and nice corn skiing keeping smiles on all faces at the camp. Over the weekend, PointZero1 released some snap shots (Miles Fink-Debray getting low in the picture to the left) showing off the campers and great the mountain conditions.
There are 2 adult sessions focusing on three major components of ski racing: athletic position, independent feet and movement. The first session began on May 7 and goes until the 10th. The second is from May 12 to 15.
