SEVEN SPRINGS, Pa. Now that summer is upon us, you may be suffering from the Foggy Goggle blues, but don’t fret! Let some of the area’s best blues musicians soothe your soul with the sounds of the Foggy Goggle Blues Series at Seven Springs Mountain Resort!

Join Seven Springs for three different evenings of rockin’ blues music on the Foggy Goggle deck and lawn this summer. I mean the name “Foggy Goggle” you really can’t go wrong with or without some blues. Choose one or all (you should probably choose all): Billy Price Band is July 9, the Norman Nardini Band on August 13, or the Nighthawks on September 3. All shows start at 6 PM and admission is FREE.

Billy Price is an East Coast blue-eyed soul man and has been entertaining audiences for three decades. An institution of music in his native Pittsburgh, he formed the Billy Price Band in 1990. In addition to performing popular songs from Price’s years with the Keystone Rhythm Band, the Billy Price Band features new interpretations of blues, R&B and soul classics.

Norman Nardini, a longtime Pittsburgh rocker wrote the lyric, “I’ve been doin’ it for years before y’all was here,” in 1979. I just love when “y’all” is used, especially a song lyric. Now, Twenty-five years later he’s still rocking. Through the years, Nardini has continued to develop his guitar playing, song-writing skills and stage persona. He can talk the talk, because he paid the toll. He’s a man with no bling bling, who calls himself the “Uncrowned King.” That rhyme was intentional.

The Nighthawks are a “roll up your sleeves, drive to the next gig overnight, carry your own gear up the steps and night after night, make people happy” kind of band. You will be dancing your mountain butt off with them. Originally formed in 1972, The Nighthawks sought not so much to reinvent rock and roll, but simply to have it reinvent itself by taking the original ingredients and following, if somewhat loosely, the original recipe.

It’s time to make plans and gather up your friends and family for some summertime entertainment at your favorite wintertime hot spot! Located within 200 miles of the major metropolitan areas of Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Cleveland and Washington D.C., Seven Springs is easily accessible from either exit 91 or 110 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike for all you Midwesterns.
