Mt. Baldy moon light hikes are back

One of Southern California’s best hidden gem resorts, Mt. Baldy is bringing back the ever so popular Moon Light Hikes. Every second Friday of the month this summer starting June 10th and ending October 7th (July 8th, August 12th, September 2nd are the ones in between).

You’ll start hiking from the ski lift parking lot to the Top of Notch Restaurant. Feast on a Tri-tip or BBQ Chicken dinner and howl at the moon as it rises over the wondrous San Gabriel Mountains. After dinner and more moon views, you’ll hike back down to the parking lot. The complete hike (up and down) is 8 miles. If you’ve been smart to ski at Mt. Baldy, you’ll know that snow or no snow, that course is a good one. The chairlift will be operational for either round trip or one way service.

With tickets only being $26.50, it’s time you get out there and enjoy the mountains. If you’ve skied Mt. Baldy before, you know it’s a challenging rocky terrain. If not, it’s time to do some research in the off season so when you do gear up for the 2011/2012 season there, you’ll know the lay of the land. If you pay homage to the mountain now, they will love you more when you’re back there for the snow.

Make your reservations early as these hikes sell out quickly.  For more information and reservations please go to
