Get out and enjoy your nearest National Park for the first day of summer. The National Park Service is waiving all entrance fees on June 21, 2011 in celebration of the first day of summer.
The fee waiver includes: entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise.
Just in the state of California, there are over 30 National Park areas for you to feast upon. The famous Joshua Tree National Park is currently celebrating their 75th Anniversary for the entire 2011 with a “75 Years of Inspiration” including a picture contest until July 15, 2011.
