Bridge Day is coming up and you don’t want to miss it! The largest extreme sports event and gathering of Base Jumpers in the world is held on the October 15, 2011 in Fayetteville, West Virginia at the 876’ tall New River George Bridge.

Base jumpers from over ten countries and over forty US states will be able to make the leap from 9AM-3PM, while an expected 200,000 spectator count will be able to walk the bridge and watch.

Registration begins July 1, 2011 with only 450 spots available for experienced jumpers who have had prior parachuting jumps. However, for the first time in Bridge Day’s 32 year history they are offering ten Tandem BASE jump spots that will allow new jumpers to jump while attached to an experienced professional.

For those of you aren’t ready to make the jump, you can come out and enjoy the walk, scenery and hundreds of vendors who sell everything from crafts to funnel cakes on the New River George Bridge which is usually closed to foot traffic. Admission is free to spectators.

All 450 spots will be available until sold out and passes are just $89.99 which will allow you to make as many jumps as possible in six hours. Be sure to register before this event is sold out!
