Bend, Ore. – Mt. Bachelor has announced it will open for skiing and snowboarding for the Fourth of July Weekend, Saturday, July 2 through Monday, July 4. Both intermediate and advanced skiing from the summit will be accessible with snow and weather conditions permitting. Regular summer operations will begin as originally scheduled on Friday, July 1.

After a record-breaking snowfall this 2010-2011 season of 665”, upper elevations are retaining a deep snowpack. Skiing and Snowboarding will be available from the Summit Express chair, accessible via Pine Marten Express out of the West Village base area, providing the highest lift-served spring skiing in the Cascades.

The first 250 skiers and snowboarders purchasing tickets each day of the Fourth of July Weekend will receive a commemorative t-shirt celebrating this historic re-opening over the Holiday. There will be mid-day live music at the Pine Marten lodge on Saturday and Sunday for those who will be skiing and riding, as well as those who just want to come and hangout.

Mt. Bachelor will be open for from 8:00am to 1:00pm and lift tickets will be only $30 for all ages. You really can’t pass up such an amazing deal. There will be a specific reduced-rate lift ticket of $20 offered to all 2010/11 full and midweek season pass holders, 12-day pass holders and club card members.
