Ryan Dunn, 34, passed away after loosing control of his vehicle and crashing into a tree June 20 at around 2:38 a.m. He and his passenger Zachary Hartwell, 30, were traveling down Route 322 in West Goshen Township, PA where he crashed into a tree causing his car to burst in flames and kill the two men immediately. The only recognizable remaining part of the car was the door that was thrown thirty feet from the scene.
Ryan Dunn was the star of the shows Jackass and Viva La Bam. MTV states “Dunn kicked off his career doing crazy stunts and skateboard tricks in a series of online videos, which eventually led to his part in MTV’s ‘Jackass’ in 2000. The daredevil was a key member of the crew, appearing in ‘Jackass’ spin-offs like ‘Viva La Bam’ and ‘Bam’s Unholy Union,’ as Bam’s sidekick and often acting as the voice of reason within the zany crew.”
TMZ reports that only a few hours before his death, Dunn tweeted a picture of him drinking with his friends. Police state that speed was probably a factor in the crash.
Dunn leaves behind his girlfriend Angie Cuturic who he had dated since 2002. He was a beloved friend of the whole Jackass crew and will be missed. Fox 29 News spoke to April Margera, mother of Jackass star Bam Margera who states Dunn was like a son to her and contacted her every Mother’s Day.
