Mount Washington will reopen for the first three days of July for the first time in history. The resort recently opened for Father’s Day weekend and saw a crowd of close to 2,000 ski and snowboarders.
This is the first time in history the Mount Washington will be open for July. It comes with no surprise though after the mountain recorded its record snowfall. The mountain received over 19 meters of snow this season and claimed the deepest snow pack before opening day in December. This is the longest season that Mount Washington has ever had. “It’s going to be a great winter this summer!” says Don Sharpe, Director of Business Operations at the resort.
The Eagle Express Chair lift will be operating from 11am to 4pm. On July 1st the Thrifty Foods Family Fun Day will take place for children. The activities include snow sliding and other fun events for kids. If you come wearing your red and white you could walk away with some Canada Day Cake!
Come celebrate Canada Day Weekend by shredding up Mount Washington this July 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Tickets cost $25.
