SNOWBIRD, UTAH – One of the few U.S. Ski resorts open and/or re-opening for the Fourth of July weekend is having something really special in particular – a Pancake Breakfast! Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort plans to celebrate Independence Day with a pancake breakfast, live music, skiing and summer activities. Get there to help celebrate with Snowbird as they break their own record July Fourth with 202 days of skiing!
“Whether you want to ski on the upper mountain, or enjoy summer activities and listen to live music at the village, the forecast looks fantastic for a special holiday weekend at Snowbird,” said Bob Bonar, Snowbird’s President.
The Pancake Breakfast is an all-you-can-eat event and will also include scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee, tea, orange juice and more. The price for adults is only $10.95, or $17.95 for breakfast and an Aerial Tram ride (for sightseeing only, not valid for skiing). Breakfast for children ages 6-12 will cost $7.50, and children 5 and younger are free. Breakfast will be served from 9 a.m. until noon, and the Tram will run from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Limited edition “I skied the Bird on July 4th” T-shirts will be on sale for $10 each.
Some good ole’ live music will be performed on the Plaza Deck by C.J. Santoro Dixieland Band during breakfast, and The Quick and Easy Boys will play from 1 until 3 p.m.
And of course, skiing and riding will be offered from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m Friday, July 1 through Monday, July 4, at a reduced price of $49 for this special closing weekend. There will only be access to the upper mountain due to the rapidly melting snowpack on the lower mountain. Season passes and day tickets are valid for one ride up and one ride down the Tram. Snowbird is currently having all their signature summer activities from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., which includes the Aerial Tram, ZipRider, Bungy Trampoline, Climbing Wall, Ropes Course, Air Jumper, Mechanical Bull and Kids’ Inflatables. Great for some family time! The Alpine Slide will most likely be open this long holiday weekend.
