Newry, Maine:  Now open for summer Sunday River has added yet another feature to its Zipline Tours, the Twin Zips.  Last summer guests enjoyed the new Sunday River Zipline Tour, which consists of six lines ranging from 100 to 300 feet in length.

This summer the Twin Zips have been added to the end of each Zipline Tour and allow guests to zip 750 feet back to the base of the resort side-by-side.  Twin Zips or parallel zip lines give guests the opportunity to share the experience with a friend or family member as they zip along side each other through the forest.  This is perfect if you or someone you know might not like the idea of a solo zip.

Twin Zips can be enjoyed at the end of a Zipline Tour or separately from the tour Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.   It costs $15 for two zips or $20 for two zips and one roundtrip scenic Chondola ride.

Zipline Tours are available Thursdays through Sundays and are even open this Fourth of July, as well as Labor Day and Columbus Day holidays at 9 a.m., 12 p.m. and 3 p.m.  Tours are approximately two hours long and are lead by certified guides who assist guests on and off each zip line.  Tours cost only $49 per person!

Sunday River is only minutes from the beautiful Bethel Village in western Maine’s Mahoosuc Mountains and is a member of the Boyne Resorts family of resorts and attractions.  All guests for both the Twin Zip and the Zipline Tour must be at least three feet tall and weigh between 70 and 270 pounds.   Reservations are not required but highly recommended as spots fill up fast!  Walk-ins can buy tickets at Sunday River Sports in the South Ridge Base Lodge.  Anyone 18 years or younger must be accompanied by a parent as a parental signature is required to zip on the Zipline Tours and the Twin Zip.  For more information visit their website or for reservations call (800) 543-2754.  Don’t miss out on this great new adventure!
