Hallelujah! Mother Nature is starting to hear our calls to sending cooler temperatures, if not huge amounts of snow to our brothers and sisters in the Southern Hemisphere. Treble Cone Ski Resort in Wanaka, New Zealand is jumping for joy – their guns are full blast! Temperatures have finally consistently dropped to below zero this week and Treble Cone’s snowguns are active on Easy Rider and upper Main St.
They are still in much need of snow fall (help Mother Nature, help) but the good news of lowered temperatures is making everyone do a happy dance. This all looks promising for Treble Cone who’s big mountain snow making system is more for supplementing a base and maintenance, rather than to open without snow.
The new Treble Cone office on Dungarvon Street is open 6 days a week, 10AM – 4PM.
