Stratton Mountain Fourth of July Fun

STRATTON MOUNTAINVermont – Head up to Stratton Mountain to elevate your Fourth of July celebrations! Get to Stratton for their annual Mountain Friends and Freedom weekend. Scheduled events include free live concerts, BBQ and a pie eating contests! All events offered are for the entire family.

The Gondola is also in full operation for a whole new summer perspective. Visit favorite trails and experience them in all their summertime, lush glory. The Gondola will be running Saturday – Monday from 10am to 5pm. Extend your stay at the summit with a picnic basket from Double Diamond in the base lodge.

The Fourth is meant to be spent outdoors celebrating the country’s beauty. Perhaps you should kick off the weekend with Saturday morning Yoga at the Summit at 10:30AM and then end your day with live music and fireworks at the base starting at 9PM.

The Village will be filled with caricaturists, stilt walkers and fire eaters, wiffle ball games, tug of war and sack races. Make sure you also schedule in a hay ride and get on those kayak rentals too.

Here is the schedule of events:

  • Village Stage: The Dave Keller Band will be playing live from noon to 4pm
  • Main Base Area:  Free Concert with Adam Ezra from 4pm to 9pm followed immediately by fireworks at 9pm
  • Courtyard barbecue with all your summer favorites serving from 11am to 2pm, Saturday
  • Base Area BBQ and Pig Roast from 3pm to 8pm, Saturday
  • Pie and Hot Dog Eating Contests at 6pm, Saturday
