On Monday it was announced that slopestyle competition would be added to the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. This long overdue addition will be featuring freeskiing, a new form of skiing which pushes away from the conventional downhill racing or other traditional styles.
Recently Aestivation Entertainment, Europe’s premier ski movie producers, announced their 2011 movie release “Lifelong.” This movie features some of the greatest European freeskiing talent in many of the worlds best ski destinations. It will be a perfect preview of what to expect in the 2014 Olympics slopestyle competition.
The film will be released on the big screen in September in more than 20 cities across Europe and available for purchase in December 2011.
Presented by Gore-Tex®, Lifelong will feature a first in ski movie history. A halfpipe session of Kevin Rolland and Ben Valentin filmed in 3D and super slow motion on the Kaunertal Glacier.
