Acclaimed outdoor athlete Mark Newcomb wanted to ski a line – A line delivered from a skiing decent from the summit of 26,500 feet at Shishapangma in Tibet. At one of the world’s highest mountains, getting by is not all the easy. 

The Ski Channel presents: The Line, A Journey to the Far Fringe of Skiing, an adventure biography of Mark Newcomb’s world as he begins at 23,000 feet at the Shishapangma Expedition High Camp on October 3, 2005. Watch Newcomb as he explores his struggles and finds the meaning through his work, both on the mountain and off. The Line showcases his second and final attempt to conquer the unconquerable line, as well as taking you off the mountain for a glimpse of Newcomb’s past adventures.
