It’s Dream Mountain home of the Day: International Edition!
Today, trusty Sotheby’s (they don’t pay me, I swear) takes us to the foothills of Mt. Whistler and Blackcomb in British Columbia in order to show off what might be the nicest thing ever to happen to an a-frame roof.
I mean, look at that. It looks like it’s about to take off in a swarm of angels or something.
When it’s not doing a very nice impression of a ship’s prow, this 4 bed/5 bath home will provide you with views of Whistler, Blackcomb, Sproat, and Rainbow Mountain. The many windows were specifically designed to take advantage of natural light.
The peaked roof means that inside, you’re treated to 30-foot vaulted ceilings with wood rafters and cedar logs. The tones are pale but warm, with polished wood edging the white walls. The decor definitely tends towards the old-fashioned and comfortable, so if modernism’s more your thing, this might not be ideal. But the gourmet kitchen, slate patio, and outdoor hot tub might at least make you consider it for a minute.
At any rate, it’s $4.5 million. You know who to call.
