Mother Nature loves irony: too much snow keeps Treble Cone closed

We spoke too soon.

Mother Nature did, indeed, deliver snow. She just delivered too much of it for Treble Cone to open today. Even the easy learners area had to stay closed for safety reasons.

According to an update from Treble Cone administrators, the resort has recieved at least 120cm of snow at base, and the weather forecast indicates that 40cm or more could be on the way. It’s possible that the resort will be able to open the slopes on Thursday (a day they say could be “outstanding!”), but it all depends on how much more snow is on the way.

Treble Cone invites you to keep an eye on the snowfall with their mountain webcam. Let’s hope the snow to come is neither too much nor too little, but just right.
