The international film and television star known for such shows as Falcon Crest, Renegade and The Bold and The Beautiful will be paying a visit to the stage at the Spruce Peak Performance Art Center in Stowe, Vermont. Lorenzo Lamas will be starring in Love Letters, the popular Pulitzer Prize-nominated comedy/drama by A.R. Gurney will be performed live on stage at the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center this coming Friday and Saturday, July 15 & 16 at 8 PM.
Lamas will be playing “Andrew Makepeace Ladd III” opposite Charlene Tilton playing the character of “Melissa Gardner.” Love Letters is a fifty year love affair carried on for the most part through written letters. The old way of romance which few people rarely use today for many reasons but really since it is a thing of the past. Now, it’s more so quick electronic letters (emails) or memos (text messages).
Spruce Peak describes Love Letters: ”Using the realism of epistolary form, they sit side by side at tables and read the notes, letters and cards that span nearly 50 years. The characters discuss their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and defeats – that have passed between them throughout their separated lives.”
