Being able to share powder days and other skiing/boarding experiences with people, with your friends in particular, makes times on the mountain just that more special and significant. A ski movie that hits that mission of good times in Aspen also pays respects to how important sharing memories are with each other.
The Ski Channel presents the Futuristic Films production of: The Ripple Effect, a movie that almost didn’t get finished after snowboarder Wallace Westfeldt died in a tragic fall in April 2008 while filming. Born and raised in Aspen, the 22 year old is featured in a 10-minute segment showing his carving skills and terrain park abilities.
Besides paying respects to Westfeldt, The Ripple Effect shows off the skills of the brother and sister team of Will and Kate Cardamone, Chris Davenport, and Pat Sewell. Not only are the riding segments amazing but the film does an excellent job showing the tight-niche Aspen skiing and boarding community.
Catch The Ripple Effect playing on The Ski Channel now until October 10.
