STOWE, VT – More fun is headed to the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center at Stowe, Vermont. The Hot Club of San Francisco is appearing there on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 7:30pm.  The Hot Club is a band who celebrates the gypsy jazz music of guitarist Django Reinhardt and violinist Stephane Grappelli and the original Hot Club de France.

With the all-string instrumentation (violin, bass and guitars) of the original Hot Club, this versatile and accomplished ensemble takes listeners back in time to the 1930′s, to the smoky jazz clubs of Paris, and the gypsy caravans of Europe’s countryside.  The Hot Club performs many of the original works by Reinhardt and Grappelli and incorporates original works by guitarist Paul Mehling and violinist Evan Price.  Other composers such as Claude Debussy and “Jelly Roll” Morton make appearances as well.

An evening with The Hot Club of San Francisco offers a night of exciting and the most unforgettable music. You can reserve your seats right now at: www.sprucepeakarts.org. Tickets for the Orchestra/Mezzanine are $35, and Boxes-Left and Right are $28.
