El Colorado, Chile - Pro Snowboarder Aaron Robinson sustained a head trauma and was pronounced dead in Chile today. Robinson was a two-time winner of The North Face Masters of Snowboarding and resided in Whitefish, Montana. He was only twenty-four years old.
It has been reported that on Tuesday, Robinson fell and hit his head on exposed rocks while in the backcountry in Santa Teresita, a very popular backcountry area adjacent to the El Colorado ski area. Robinson rode for K2 Snowboarding, Volcom and Airblaster.
He will be missed greatly by the ski and snowboard community. Our thoughts and prayers are with Robinson’s friends and family.
