Exciting snow-times have reached the Southern Hemisphere, finally. Snow has been dumping upon many resorts in Chile, Australia and New Zealand over the past couple weeks. Now, reports are coming in that Auckland, New Zealand is expected to see snow for the first time since 1939!

Phillips Duncan who is the head analyst at WeatherWatch has said, ”We’ve had reports of snow in Lower Hutt and Wellington overnight and this morning. We’ve got reports of snow settling on the cars in Masterton for the last hour, snow at very lower levels at Lake Taupo and in Taupo itself, snow in Hawera, Stratford, Taranaki.”

With more reports coming in, the snow fall is surely coming in strong. Duncan also reported that it’s very possible the Auckland Sky Tower’s tip, which stands at about 1077 feet, will get a brushing of snow.
