On July 30th, Sky Tavern is hosting their first annual film festival.

The film festival aims to raise money for Sky Tavern, a program based in the Reno/Tahoe area. Sky Tavern gives kids, who would otherwise be unable, the chance to learn how to ski and snowboard.

The donations from the festival will go towards providing scholarships to children, so that they too can achieve the dream of learning how to ski and snowboard.

Submissions to the festival will be accepted until July 28 by e-mail or mail, or addressed to Sky Tavern Film Festival, 316 California Ave., PMB 165, Reno, NV 89509.

The festival will be held at the Sky Tavern Lodge, 21130 Mt. Rose Highway), presenting chair life rides, Alaskan Brewery beer, music entertainment, a zip line, vendors and more! Tickets will be $5 at the door and will include one Alaskan beer and access to all the entertainment. Come support Sky Tavern’s fun, friendly, family atmosphere and contribute to a great local program. For questions or more information please e-mail or visit
