The U.S. is a force to be reckoned with this year at the International Federation of Sport Climbing World Championships being held in Arco, Italy.
Yesterday, Sasha DiGiulian won the gold medal in Woman’s Combined, after already winning the silver in Bouldering and placing 8th in Lead. This helped to rank Team USA as 2nd overall.
U.S. National Team coach Claudiu Vidulescu commented, “We are very excited about the performance of our team at the World Championships. We are just beginning to showcase the spectacular athletes in the United States.”
Sasha DiGuilian is the current National and Pan American Champion in Lead Climbing and ranked third at bouldering national championships in 2011.
