A snowboarder was recused yesterday night at Mt. Taranaki in New Zealand via helicopter. It is reported that the boarder is believed to have been suffering from hypothermia.

The boarder, who’s name has not been released yet, is in his thirties and had been snowboarding earlier that day and got lost on the eat side of the mountain. Kim Perks, a police spokeswoman said, “He’s effectively come down the mountain, got disoriented and found himself lost off the track. He said he was not in a position where he could go up or down.”

A local and private helicopter dropped three Taranaki Alpine Cliff Rescue team members to get the man just before nightfall about 5.30PM, New Zealand time.
