Avalanche warnings as well as heavy snowfall stranded 250 skiers and snowboarders at a ski resort the other day. Mount Lyford in New Zealand was closed in causing many skiers and snowboarders to have to stay the night. The temperature was freezing, and at one point the power got cut off.

Heavy winds, harsh temperatures, and little food, amounted to a very difficult night for those trapped skiers and snowboarders.
