Garmont North America is relocating to Oregon

WILLISTON, VT – Gamont North America has announced today, July 27, 2011, that they will be relocating its North American headquaters to the outdoor and footwear capitol of Portland, Oregon.

Garmont is a global market leader in the snowsport and outdoor footwear, known worldwide for ushing the limits of design and performance. Their amazing product line includes award-winning alpine, alpine touring and telemark ski boots, as well as outdoor footwear for all mountaineering activities.

“Garmont is a vibrant and healthy company, with an unmatched historical reputation for both performance and innovation,” said President of Garmont, David Fee. “This move will reposition the brand in the North American market, elevating both the compnay and the product to a new level of success.”

Their move will begin immediately and is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2011. All Garmont North American operations will be relocated, including their distributed brands of Bridgedale socks and Life-Link backcountry equipment. Garmont operational move isn;t the only thing changing either. Garmont also announced the promotion of Joshua Gibbs who will be stepping up to Vice President of Sales, and Patrick O’Neil to Chief Operating Officer. Both gentlemen will be relocating to Portland, Oregon.

In skiing, Garmont’s recent accomplishments include the introduction of the PowerFrame Freeride AT collection for the fall 2011. The collection has an unparalleled package of fit, features and touring function. It established a completely new class of boots, blending superior alpine performance and full capability and reinforcing Garmont’s leadership position in the fastest category of growing alpine ski boot – alpine touring.
