School Holiday Perfectly Matches up with Awesome Snow at Treble Cone in NZ

With the weather cooling down and kids on School Holiday, Treble Cone in New Zealand is having some great powdery fun this week.  While The Saddle was closed early morning this week for wind holds, it is now up and running giving skiers access to powdery pockets.

So now knowing that there is great snow up on the mountain, don’t you want to get up there?  Well, the resort just opened even more parking lots down the road.  However they do continue to stress carpooling!  If you think about it, carpooling just means you will have more petrol/”gas” to ski the next day to.

The NZ Snowboarder Banked Slalom will be held tomorrow in the Gun Barrel.  Snow conditions permit the course to run down through the chicane below the Day Lodge.  Best of two runs count and there are great prizes including a snowboard, cash, eyewear, and clothing.

Next week on Thursday/Friday there will also be the FIS ski racing series including a Slalom and Giant Slalom.  Wanaka and Queenstown based NZ ski racers as well as international ski racers will be competing.  Markby and Raffills trophies will be awarded to the overall best Men and Women’s racers.
