On August 7th, the Solitude Mountain Resort in Utah will host Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation Utah, a benefit raising money to fight childhood hunger.
1500 people are expected to attend. The draw? Haute cuisine from some of the finest restaurants and chefs around, including Log Haven, Bambara, Gastronomy, and the Utah Baker’s Dozen, showcasing distinguished desserts from 14 of the state’s best bakeries. In addition, there will be live music and a silent auction.
Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation works to end childhood hunger in the United States and abroad. Through activism and fundraising, they address both the symptoms and causes of childhood hunger. One in six children in Utah is food insecure or at risk of hunger; nationwide, 12 million children face food insecurity.
“An end to childhood hunger is in reach,” says Bill Shore, the Founder and Executive Director of Share Our Strength. 100% of the ticket sales for Taste of the Nation Utah will go towards organizations that work to end childhood hunger in the United States and abroad. Tickets are on sale at www.tasteofthenation.org/utah_tickets.
