TELLURIDE, Colorado – Numerous hours are spent by businesses in order to develop annual marketing campaigns that attract the attention from customers, pushing their products in a positive direction. The only problem with this, is that a company’s interests can be different from a customers interests, therefore Telluride Ski Resort decided to begin talking right to the source, the skiers and snowboarders them selves.
“We all look at piles of data, current trends, and past performance when developing our annual campaigns, but the effectiveness of the resulting advertising creative is an intangible until it hits the market,” said the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Telluride Ski & Golf, Matt Skinner. “What better way to create an effective and appealing campaign than to have the public help in its development?”
The resort released a public survey asking to have people become a part of the 2011-2012 ad campaign marketing team. For all of the participants, they will look at a bundle of ads targeted to different markets with each add laid out differently, from differences in text, images, and styles. The results will be examined from feedback provided from the participants. The ads will then be modified to what the public wants to see and the participants will be able to see their feedback put into the final product this winter season.
Telluride Ski & Golf wants everyone’s help, and is inviting the public to become a part of the team. The survey is available at www.tellurideskiresort.com/survey, from the homepage at www.TellurideSkiResort.com and at www.Facebook.com/Telluride.
