CLEVELAND, OHIO - Sportadore™, the social media gathering place where major league sports fans meet announced its first annual University level student sports writing competition.  The 2011 Sportadore™  Sports Writing Student Competition will challenge journalism and broadcast students, working individually, to explore a variety of approaches to writing sports in the ever-changing world of internet-delivered content.

Students will be offered a web outlet for distributing their own sports related stories in the compeition.  The content will be judged by relevant terms of success in the current world of web news reporting. The winner will be the student who garners the largest cumulative number of unique impressions for their story which will run on the Sportadore™ website.

A student can enter and will be judged by the number of unique impressions for each of their stories which will be tracked by Sportadore™ and students may write as many sports stories as they wish.  The cumulative number of all impressions for all of the individual student’s stories will be the criteria through which the competition will be judged.  A student with a single, popular story may have more unique impressions than a student who generates multiple stories. An important part of the decision making process by the student is to determine the combination of quality and quantity that provides the maximum number of unique web impressions. The winner will receive an iPad2 and special recognition and publicity on the Sportadore™ site along with a press announcement.

Comet Technologies and its sister company Multimo, owners and managers of Sportadore™ are the sponsors and administrators of the competition.  The competition begins on Monday, August 15, 2011  and all entries must be received by midnight EST on October 31, 2011.
