Red Bull Powder Disorder Kicks off Freeskiing World Tour 2012

          The 2012 Freeskiing World Tour began yesterday August 9 in Las Lenas, Argentina with the Red Bull Powder Disorder.  The FWT (Freeskiing World Tour) began in 1998 and is a big mountain free skiing tour. 


         The Red Bull Powder Disorder features 32 elite freeskiing athletes and a $10,000 money prize.  Competition director Bryan Barlow was quoted by Red Bull saying “It’s a true fit for the tour as the mountains are truly unrivalled in the world, allowing the athletes to showcase their progressive big mountain freesking skills.”


The Schedule for 2011:

Stop 1 : RED BULL Powder Disorder, Las Lenas – Aug. 9th – 13th

Stop 2: 2011 Chilean Freeskiing Championships – Aug. 18th – 21st


Stop 3: Canadian Freeskiing Championships, Revelstoke B.C. Jan – 5-10 – Jan. 5th – 10th

Subaru Freeskiing World Tour Qualifier in Jackson Hole, WY – Jan. 27th – 30th

Stop 4: Subaru U.S. Extreme Freeskiing Championships in Crested Butte, CO – Feb. 17th – 21st

Stop 5: Subaru North American Freeskiing Championships in Kirkwood, CA – Feb. 23rd – 28th

Stop 6: Subaru Freeskiing World Tour Championships at Snowbird, UT – Mar. 8th – 13th
