Not only is Snowshoe the first ski resort on the East Coast to record snowfall this season, it is earliest the region’s largest winter resort has seen snow in six years!

The official start to the season at the resort is Wednesday, November 23rd, just in time for the Thanksgiving! Regular snowmaking isn’t planned to start until November 1st, but it was a great opportunity for the snowmaking operations to test out their equipment and ensure it is in top condition for the quickly approaching 2011-2012 season.
