Forbes Names Okemo Best Family Resort in the East

Vermont’s Okemo Resort has been listed in Forbes “10 Best Ski Resorts for Families”. The resort technically takes the number five spot in the nation, but is the first resort on the east to be listed.

Okemo is said to owe its deep connection to and ability to recognize the needs of families to their operators Tim and Diane Mueller. The Muellers raised their children on the snow, and have used this personal touch to create an experience that sets them apart from other resorts.

According to Forbes’ Larry Olmstead, the criteria for a family friendly resort consists excellent ski instruction, good deals on tickets and rental equipment, activities for non-skiing members of the family, plus off-slope family entertainment and activities, family-friendly dining and accommodations.
