Reno Tahoe USA is solidifying itself as one of the greatest family friendly destinations. The entertainment powerhouse opened the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum and CommRow (on top of all its countless other indoor and outdoor recreation options) just in time for the start of the winter season.
CommRow brings outdoor fun to the center of the Biggest Little City and is the area’s first “Urban Adventure Destination”. Housed inside a 16-story building is the world’s tallest climbing wall, reaching 164 feet above the Reno Arch. Climbers of all levels can get also get a chance to enjoy the bouldering center. An overabundance of food options can be found at “The Row” and two live entertainment venues and a pet-friendly “Hang” hotel will be opening in spring next year.
Another new opening is the Discovery Museum where children can learn in seven different educational galleries. The museum promotes imagination and creativity, and shows children the process of inventing in the Spark!Lab (the only one of its kind outside of D.C’s Smithsonian). There’s also a three-story Cloud Climber that will surely satisfy every child’s inner mountaineer.
