After one hundred long days of waiting, some early October snowfall, and a great week of snowmaking the moment you’ve all been waiting for is here — Arapahoe is opening for the season!

The Black Mountain Express will be fired up at 9:00 am, this Thursday, October 13th after the tribute for Arapahoe Basin Founders Marnie Jump and Max Decrum who passed away earlier this year.

Skiers and riders will enjoy an 18-inch base and have access to the intermediate level High Noon Run along with the High Divide Terrain Park. Tickets for opening day will be $59 for adults, $49 for youths (15-18), and $30 for children (6-14). Unfortunately, there will be no beginner skiing runs open at the moment, however there will still be a limited number of Snowsports lessons offered. Visitors will also get to enjoy the resort’s dining areas, gear shops, and 6th Alley Bar.

If you still need to pick up your A-Basin Bonus Passes they will be available for $389 while supplies last.  Bonus pass holders receive unlimited access to A-Basin for the entire 2011-2012 ski season along with five non-transferable ski days at Keystone or Breckenridge. One of those days can be used at Vail or Beaver Creek (some restrictions apply). You can of course stil purchase A-Basin only passes as well.
