X-Dance, the world’s greatest Action Sports Film Festival, is now accepting submissions for their 2012 Film Festival. Known as the “Sundance” of Action Sports Film Festivals, X-Dance is celebrating its 12th year by merging with a new media and Network Group, Energy X, as well as partnering with other industry giants which are to be announced soon!

X-Dance will take place in both Park City and Salt Lake City in January 2012. Opportunities to participate as a filmmaker, athlete and even as an attendee will be huge as there is always immense attention from the industry and media. In 2011 X-Dance received hundreds of entries from all over the world, with only 35 of the top films making the competition last year. With half the entries from outside the U.S., X-Dance has truly become an international festival.

What’s more, some of the top films will have the opportunity to be featured in the X-Dance Hollywood Screening Series held at Red Bull Headquarters in Santa Monica, California. This viewing party is always open to to the public, and always a blast. Pro athletes, filmmakers, and event goers can enjoy each others company as well as that of the open bar, which offers all variations of everyones favorite Red Bull-inspired concoctions.

Tanner Hall’s epic backcountry film Retallack enjoyed a completely packed house for its world premiere at Red Bull HQ this past August. Beyond Tanner’s amazing skiing and innovative style, a lot of people just wanted to be there to congratulate him personally as he is known to be one of the nicest guys in skiing, and had just come back from a two year recovery from a ski accident.

Warren Miller and Academy Award-nominated cinematographer Don Burgess are slated to assume their roles as judges again. So start finishing up that project you’ve been putting off working on, and get the opportunity to be critiqued by filmmaking legends!

Remember: November 30th is the Entry Deadline for X-Dance 2012, and all entries must go through the X-Dance website (www.x-dance.com), so get on it soon!!
