The Lake Tahoe Resorts are fresh off a record-shattering season in terms of both snowfall and skier visits. Travelers headed to Lake Tahoe this season will be welcomed by vibrant mountain villages, revamped base areas and new on-mountain lodges, remodeled restaurants, new lifts, expanded terrain, state-of-the-art snowmaking systems and grooming equipment, innovative new programs and cutting-edge technologies. The facilities have undergone $100 million in capital improvements to ensure this season will be even better than the last.

The new additions will make Tahoe the place to ski for newbies and pros. New conveyor lifts will be located in dedicated beginner areas complete with sculpted terrain designed to shorten the learning curve and ease the introduction to the slopes. For the intermediate riders, there will be high speed chairlifts, freshly cut trails, with widened runs and glided tree skiing on both shores of the lake. Experts can sign up for a number of new backcountry snowcat operations and guided adventures.

Northstar Resort, already well-known for their terrain parks, will be building a 22 foot halfpipe this season.  Squaw Valley has joined forces with Alpine Meadows to offer more than 6,000 acres of legendary skiing and riding accessed via a single lift ticket and interconnecting shuttle. Heavenly will unveil its Bear Cave Lodge which will house its 2,022-square-foot kid’s ski school facility.

The Reno-Tahoe International Airport has recently been remodeled, offering direct service from Minneapolis, St. Paul, Boston, LA, Denver, Phoenix, Houston, and Dallas. These added flights make it significantly easier to reach the slopes.

There have been substantial improvements across all seven resorts making up Ski Lake Tahoe. Whether you choose Alpine Meadows, Heavenly, Kirkwood, Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe, Northstar California, Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort or Squaw Valley — Tahoe Resorts are “must-ski” destinations this winter season. With over 300 days of sunshine a year, scenic views from all resorts, and some of the highest annual snowfall amounts in North America, Tahoe can accommodate everyone’s interests.

The Ski Lake Tahoe Resorts offer great package deals on lift tickets in order to make it affordable to ski or ride at all seven of the resorts.
