Warren Miller films have led the evolution of action sports filmmaking for the better half of the last century, and essentially gave birth to the genre. Their yearly premiere events defined the ski film tour model, and have grown to become even more synonymous with the beginning of Winter than the first frost! This year’s feature offering will not only continue this tradition — but will seek to redefine it. Warren Miller Entertainment is proud to present their 62nd feature film, Warren Miller’s…Like There’s No Tomorrow.
The stage has been set for this Friday, October 14th at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City. Warren Miller Entertainment and Visit Salt Lake have partnered to create what can be considered the world’s largest action sports film premiere of the year, and perhaps of all time. The red carpet affair will bring together the biggest names in the industry, the worlds top action sports athletes, and the most die-hard, loyal fans that snow sports could ever hope for. It will be a time to celebrate a shared passion for mountain sports, and to reflect upon what we have accomplished as an emerging culture.
Attendies will have the opportunity to rub elbows and bump fists with the likes of Chris Davenport, Seth Wescott, Daron Rhalves, Johnny Mosely, Andy Mahre, Lynsey Dyer, and Julian Carr. …Like There’s No Tomorrow features so many heroes of action sport that it leaves a pit in my stomach to not name them all. The line-up of talent is so comprehensive — that the significance of this event could be articulated through a simple bulleted list of their names.
Olympic Gold Medalist Johnny Mosely, once again assumes his role as narrator, and will guide us on a journey across five continents. We’ll watch as athletes tackle the rugged, wind-torn terrain of New Hampshire, go neck-deep in powder at Squaw Valley, brave epic European steeps in Norway, and even introduce us to the breath-taking scenery of Kashmir, India.
Industry leaders are teaming up to construct a massive Different By Nature sponsor village in the courtyard outside Abravanel Hall, offering film attendees a chance to win prizes, meet athletes and listen to great music before the 8:00pm screening. Alta, Brighton, Snowbird, Solitude, Canyons Resort, Pentax, Cuties, Ski Magazine, Spyder, Go Pro, K2, Kastle, First Ascent, Red Bull, Level Nine Sports and more will all be onsite to provide attendies with exclusive access to lift ticket and retail discounts, and to ensure this is an event to remember.
World Premiere tickets are available at Level Nine Sports, the Abravanel Hall Box Office (801.355.ARTS) and ArtTix.org. Ticket discount packages are available via the Warren Miller Group Tickets Office (800.523.7117). Check out warrenmiller.com for film details, videos, photos and more.
