O’Neill has announced its newest global fan competition, ‘Destination Unknown,’ which will connect countless fans worldwide and send users on a chase around the world for amazing prizes. Who didn’t love a childhood game of hide and seek? This is the new advanced way to play!
Launched on Monday, October 10th at www.facebook.com/ONeill, the specially designed application will take the digits from entrants’ mobile numbers to produce a unique global coordinate for a destination somewhere on Earth.
Continuing through November 25th, fans will have four chances throughout four different corners of the globe to see where in the world their mobile number takes them. The ultimate destination? The snow, of course.
If contestants land with their coordinates in an area with snow, they will be entered into a drawing to win the ultimate prize: a 4-day trip to a Destination Unknown, including a day of riding with O’Neill team rider and Freeride World Tour champion, Mitch Toelderer.
“Travelling to unknown destinations is part of my life as a snowboarder,” said Toelderer. “We follow the mountains, snow and weather conditions to wherever they take us. It will be great to bring someone along on this ride.”
O’Neill is giving the 2nd place winner an O’Neill Jeremy Jones kit, featuring a three-layer jacket, three-layer pant, and packable down, valued at over $2,000! Eight-time Big Mountain Rider of the year, Jones has his own O’Neill environmentally friendly signature line, made with recycled materials, in which the technical superiority reflects his riding.
10 fascinating locations around the world will serve as hiding places for various O’Neill prizes. The first person to ‘land’ on the location unlocks and wins the prize – from a pair of Philips/O’Neill headphones to a Seb Toots signature jacket.
