Powder and Rails is stoked to present the second episode of its Nixon JibFest webisode series. The 8-minute episode reminisces with stories about how JibFest has evolved from its creation, as told by the event creators and pioneer participants themselves. The focus is on how early features from 2002 have changed such as the bigger circle rail and the improved S-rail. Surprise guest and snowboarding legend Brian Thein jumps right into the action for this peer reviewed (no judges allowed) one of a kind event.
The second episode is part of a three-part series covering Nixon JibFest. It began back in 2000 as an exclusive, invite-only event founded by Nixon riders, Jeremy Jones, JP Walker and Dave Downing. JibFest made its much-anticipated comeback in April of this year at Northstar-at-Tahoe. Only handpicked riders, specially selected media, and a few photographers and filmers were allowed to witness the epic jibs, and the legacy of JibFest is explored in this season’s webisodes.
A third and final episode will finish off the series on Tuesday, October 25 but you can check out episode 2 right now:
