Powder and Rails is back with the final installment of the Nixon JibFest webisode series. The 11-minute video gives viewers insight into the world of Northstar-at-Taho’s JibFest, the only event of its kind created for riders by riders. Episode 3 introduces the “wheels of death” game where JibFest invitees spin two wheels, one wheel is labeled with tricks and the other decides the feature. The athletes that complete the trick are rewarded with an instant $100 cash money.
Chad Dinenna, Nixon co-founder reflects on the event, “You bring a bunch of good friends together and a bunch of hardworking people, and put them all into one place and everybody’s laughing…it’s like Disneyland on snow.”
Snow Park Technologies’s Chris “Gunny” Gunnarson goes through the history of features in JibFest that have now become the norm at snowboard parks. The epic webisode series closes with a behind-the-scenes look at the unique voting process for “Best Trick” and first, second, and third places.
