Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort has been forced to cancel its Customer Appreciation Days for October 29 and 30. The resort is planning to continue the tradition the following weekend (November 5 and 6) as long as maintenance goes as planned.
The Snowbird tradition involves a free Tram ride in exchange for donations to the Utah Food Bank or Wasatch Active Sports. Guests are encouraged to bring in a can of food, a hygiene item, or $3 to the November 5-6 event, between 11 and 5. Hygiene donations include toothpaste, soap, baby diapers and wipes while food donations can be peanut butter, tuna, chili, soup, vegetables, fruit, beans, spaghetti sauce, rice, macaroni and cheese, boxed dinners, cake mix, and pasta as well as special-needs foods such as low-sugar and low-sodium goods.
