Stratton Mountain School’s annual ski and snowboard sale is coming up soon on Friday, November 25 and Saturday, November 26. The Vermont-based school is packing the Burtscher Fieldhouse full of used race stock skis and high-end snowboard equipment (all being sold by SMS athletes and coaches). Six New England ski retailers will be on site as well to sell discounted new equipment. They will feature alpine skis, Nordic skis, and snowboard equipment. Shoppers will have a special expert around to help with their purchases, Olympic Gold and Bronze medalist, Ross Powers — who also happens to be the SMS Snowboard Program Director and Head Coach.
“This is an amazing opportunity for skiers to purchase incredible equipment at great prices,” said SMS Events Director Pete Davis. “Some of the skis we’ve seen coming in from the SMS kids are race stock and almost impossible to find at any price. What’s great about the products we’ve seen arriving so far is that this gear is priced to sell! For anyone interested in getting a great deal on some incredible equipment, SMS is the place to be Friday and Saturday right after Thanksgiving.”
Those interested in selling used equipment still in good condition, apparel, or gear can drop it off on Friday, November 25 from 9am- 2pm (note that no “straight” skis or used helmets will be collected, nor any equipment in poor condition). Also on Friday is a special pre-view sale from 3pm – 7pm, with a $5 cover charge for adults and anyone under 12 gets in free. Sale hours on Saturday are from 9pm – 5pm.
